Watch and listen to my newest video regarding the consequences of the restriction of PCR testing with and how it impacts travel.
With the recent announcement from the Alberta Government that only high risk people should schedule PCR tests (with the rest of us relying on rapid test), this makes me very wary.
If you get Covid and recover you can still test positive for some time later - this could cause an issue if you plan on travelling if you don't have a PCR confirmation of your previous illness.
More info on the new testing recommendations here: https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-testing-in-alberta.aspx#jumplinks-0
My advice is that if you believe you have Covid - try to get a PCR test any way you can.
There are a few self administered tests that you can order to have on hand that are approved by Health Canada for returning back to Canada. If you are unable to get a local PCR test - this may be an viable option. Here are the links to purchase (I am not affiliated with these sites; I receive no kick back from them).
You are responsible for obtaining the proper test (there are a few different tests listed here). Evening Star Travel doesn't control these tests and is not responsible for their use in any way. Use at your own risk.
